You take in even the smallest signals around you, and you always need time alone to sort them out.
So among people you listen quietly, and at night, alone, you go back over the day one thing at a time.
Most people would describe you as calm and quiet. Inside, though, more is going on in your head than in anyone else's.
What you're good at
You notice what others missed and think it through deeply. Because you've turned it over for a long time on your own, when you do speak, you often get right to the core of the matter.
What you often hear
- “What are you thinking about so hard?”
- “You don't say much, but you knew all along.”
What wears you out
You run low when plans with people come one after another with no time alone in between. Without time to sort through what you've taken in, you may look fine, but inside, 'I just need a little time alone' keeps getting louder.
For the people around you
You spend a long time thinking about the other person to understand them deeply. But you rarely say those thoughts out loud, so they may feel distant: 'I can't tell what this person is thinking.'
Worth trying
Tell the other person just one of the thoughts you've sorted out on your own. Even something you've finished thinking through has to be said out loud before the people close to you can actually know you.
